Ephos, the leader in glass-based quantum photonic chips, today announced that it was selected to join the first cohort of NATO’s Defence Innovation Accelerator for the North Atlantic (DIANA). Ephos was chosen from a competitive pool of over 1300 applicants. The company will be part of an outstanding group of innovators, to contribute to development of technology for the safety and the public interest of Allied nations.
DIANA is part of NATO’s response to a changing world. Climate change, scarcity of resources, economic instability and hostile threats from state and non-state actors are re-shaping the wider security and defence environment. DIANA became operational in June 2023, when it launched its pilot call focused on three challenges: energy resilience, sensing and secure information sharing. Ephos joins the secure information sharing cohort and DIANA will support the company in its business development.
“Ephos’ mission is DIANA’s mission: building the essential infrastructure for Allied innovation in quantum technologies. Realizing the next generation of emerging and disruptive technologies, fast and securely, requires the best of government, academia, and the private sector. We feel privileged to join the cohort of innovators that will pioneer NATO’s emerging tech ecosystem.”
Andrea Rocchetto, CEO at Ephos
